Our Community

Aitkin County is a rural county in Central Minnesota. We are home to over 300 lakes and rivers, including the Mississippi River, Big Sandy Lake and part of Mille Lacs Lake. Though we are the 9th biggest county by land area, our population of 16,000 residents is less than 1% of Minnesota. You can learn more about Aitkin County here.

Our Values

We support democracy and the rule of law.

We support labor unions. Labor unions help union and non-union workers achieve living wages and fair employment conditions.

We support a clean environment, and with our unique natural environment this is particularly important.
